International House Madrid is an official DELE examination centre, the official exam for non-native Spanish speakers, which leads to obtaining a title recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain.
The DELE Spanish diplomas are official qualifications certifying the level of competence and mastery of the Spanish language, awarded by the Cervantes Institute on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sport.
The Cervantes Institute has been entrusted with the academic, administrative, and financial management of the DELE diplomas, in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decrees 1137/2002, of October 31, 264/2008, of February 22, and 1004/2015, of November 6.
The DELE exams are designed following the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the Manual on the Relationship of Examinations to the CEFR, both publications of the Council of Europe.
The repertoire of linguistic content that may be included in the DELE exams is set out in the Cervantes Institute’s Curriculum Plan. Reference Levels for Spanish (NRE), developed by the Cervantes Institute based on the CEFR descriptors.
The DELE diplomas are internationally recognized and highly prestigious, not only among public and private educational institutions and authorities but also in the business world and among chambers of commerce. They are an official guarantee of the assessment and certification of Spanish language proficiency.
In many countries, the DELE diplomas have been adopted by educational authorities and schools as a complement to their own assessment programs. They are ideal for facilitating career advancement and access to education both in Spain and in the other countries where the exams are administered.

The teachers are exceptional, among the best professionals I’ve ever met. I would repeat the course 100 times over, both for its dynamic nature and its content.

Excellent facilities, and the teaching by the teachers is very, very good. They adapt to the needs of each student, which is greatly appreciated.
Both teachers were fantastic. I’m very happy with everything.

Yes. DELE diplomas have lifetime validity, including those issued before the introduction of the CEFR. The Instituto Cervantes provides official equivalence tables linking older diplomas to current CEFR levels (A1–C2), and they remain fully valid.
To apply for Spanish nationality by residence, two Instituto Cervantes tests are generally required:
DELE A2 or higher, to certify Spanish language proficiency.
CCSE, which assesses constitutional and sociocultural knowledge of Spain.
Yes. Exemptions may apply in specific cases, such as applicants from Spanish-speaking countries, minors, people with certain disabilities, or those who have completed official education in Spanish in Spain. Exemptions depend on current regulations and individual circumstances.
The DELE diploma is proven through the official certificate issued by the Instituto Cervantes. If the original document has been lost, an official certification or verification can be requested from the Instituto Cervantes.
The specific procedures for obtaining Spanish nationality based on Sephardic origin are currently closed. However, the DELE exam remains valid as official proof of Spanish proficiency for academic and administrative purposes.
You can take the DELE exam at International House Madrid, which is an official exam centre.
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
